What is Zero Gravity?

Zero Gravity is a new feature included in some of the latest and most advanced massage chairs in the industry today. Introduced by NASA a couple of decades ago, the zero gravity position was a way for astronauts to reduce stress on their body when launching into space. Utilizing this position your massage chair can not only reduce any stress on your spine, but it also focuses your body weight on the back rest of the massage chair pressing your back down on the back massage rollers, increasing the intensity of the massage, and the benefit your receive from it.

Zero Gravity Massage Chairs excel at increasing the efficiency of the massage rollers, so you receive a better massage, and reach more of the deep tissue in your back. The Zero gravity position also gives you a weightless feeling while you are lying there receiving your massage which can deepen the relaxation, thereby increasing the benefit of your massage.

All of our brands offer at least one model that features the zero gravity position. On select massage chairs, there is a two stage zero gravity option which allows you a choice between two reclined positions. The first is the standard zero gravity position. The second reclines further back into an almost flat position with your legs situated above your heart and all of your weight focused on the backrest of the massage chair. This position relieves a lot of the pressure put on your spine, and focuses your weight on the massage rollers allowing them to give you a more effective massage!
